My Love Affair with Psychology ~ the journey in brief...

In this life experience, I have been a spiritual empath and artistic person since my childhood. But what I did not know as a child was that my artistic creativity will lead me to a path I never expected. My mind had been tricking me for many years, though I discovered this only during my graduation days. Sleepless nights, anxiety, irrational fears were the few symptoms of my mental state & diagnosed illness. This was the advent of Psychology in my life. I continued to survive with the help and guidance from some beautiful souls (family, friends and professionals). These few years brought deep insights in my perspectives about myself/ my life.

As the time passed, I became a student of Psychology while preparing for UPSC examinations with so much to heal and recover yet. In the next two years I studied several subjects but my favourite became Psychology and Theology. They both opened the doors wide for spirituality in me. The Bhagwad Gita and Psychology still remain the closest to my heart as they gave me acceptance for life events, a new level of confidence, an awareness to recognise my passion and lead a meaningful, purposeful life.

In order to contribute to that field of art, science & creativity which provided me the best learnings of my life, to spread the awareness of mental & spiritual health, to help others with this lonely phase of their life, to bring more smiles of peace than pretence in this world, to encourage others to live fully rather than just survive, to build their faith in themselves, humanity & life, to develop a better atmosphere for those who are sinking deep and help them in becoming the light instead of searching it outside, I decided to say YES to Psychology (as it already chose me) and attain a sense of contentment in life.

So I celebrated my next two years of training & studying in Clinical Psychology during my Masters from Amity University. Later, trained by Dr. Mrinmay Das at Jaypee Hospital and finished my Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology from Adarsh Rehabilitation Centre in  affiliation with Rehabilitation Council of India.
